1a. Location Data
Our Swoop Up Driver app collects location data from drivers to enable core delivery functionality. Specifically:
Foreground location: Collected when the app is in use to display pickup and drop-off locations and provide navigation assistance
Background location: Collected when the app is running in the background so dispatchers can assign the nearest available driver to incoming delivery requests and monitor active deliveries in real time
Why background location permission is required: Since our application is a delivery and logistics service, our drivers need to know pickup and drop-off locations at all times. As a company, we need to know the current location of our drivers to manage assignments and dispatch requests efficiently. When a driver goes online, we require their location to send them the nearest available delivery request. This requires background location permission to function correctly.
Location data is used solely for operational purposes — coordinating deliveries and managing driver assignments. We do not sell location data to third parties.
